Cristina Belgiumból érkezett hozzánk múlt év szeptemberében, és ESC önkéntesként töltötte nálunk az elmúlt hónapokat. Fogadjátok szeretettel a beszámolóját a magyarországi élményeiről:
After months of living, learning, and growing as a long-term ESC volunteer in Hungary, it’s hard to put into words what this experience has meant to me — but I’ll try. 😊
From the moment I arrived, I was met with a mix of curiosity, excitement, and anticipation. But day by day, Hungary started to feel like home. I met incredible people — fellow volunteers, locals, and members of the community — who made this journey unforgettable.
During my time here, I had the chance to contribute to meaningful projects: helping in two kindergartens filled with playfulness and creativity, supporting a charity shop with a strong community spirit, and spending time at an elderly home where I also joined music therapy sessions. We didn’t talk much during those moments, but music spoke for us — and through it, I got to know more about Hungarian culture and its beautiful sounds. 🎶🇭🇺
I also had the chance to travel and discover some of Hungary’s natural and cultural beauty — from quiet towns to historic landmarks. And I’ll always remember the charm of Budapest’s streets: full of life and history.🌆✨
This experience reminded me of the value of openness, connection, and being part of something bigger than yourself. 💫 I’m leaving with a heart full of gratitude, memories to last a lifetime, and a deeper appreciation for solidarity and cross-cultural exchange.
Köszönöm, Hungary!
